JB's Blog- Preseason in Cantù

Preseason Recap: Building Momentum in Cantù

Ever since hopping off the plane in Italy, Jordan has felt the love and excitement from Pallacanestro Cantù organization, media, and fans. From immediately being greeted with banners and apparel to warm welcomes, the energy has been contagious- and it set the tone for the entire preseason. Jordan couldn't be more grateful.

A Warm Welcome to Cantù

Cantù hosted a massive introduction event for the 2025-2026 season right in the town square. The entire city turned out to celebrate the team- so many people showed up that fans were sitting on hills of a nearby church and doing anything they could to get to higher ground for a better view of the stage.

Each player was introduced on stage with their own walkout song. Jordan's entrance came with his favorite artists- Gunna "At My Purest." He also got the chance to share his personal goals for the upcoming season with the fans, and the warm welcome he received made the moment unforgettable. The energy felt like a parade, and it set the tone for what this year in Cantù is going to be all about.

Hard Work Behind the Scenes

Practices have been two-a-days filled with intense drills, conditioning, and constant focus on perfecting his craft. The schedule has been grueling at times and can definitely be tiring, however this is nothing new for Jordan, who is a true professional player. He works tirelessly in the offseason to stay in shape and prepare for moments exactly like this. The work is paying off and Jordan is seeing the results both in his game and in the team's chemistry.

Preseason on the Road

Over the course of 9 preseason games, Cantù traveled all across Italy, from Venice to Livigno and everywhere in between. It was a true test of endurance, consistency, and focus.

Highlights included:

  • 6 wins out of 9 games
  • Jordan being awarded 2x Preseason MVP:

His highest stat line of the preseason? 26 points against Trieste.

The Fans Bring the Energy

The Cantù fans are already making their presence felt. Loud, passionate, and full of energy, the atmosphere feels like a college student section- nonstop chants, drums, and cheering from start to finish. If preseason felt like this, the regular season promises to be electric inside a packed arena.

Goals for the Season Ahead

With preseason wrapped, Jordan has his eyes set on big goals for the upcoming season:

  • Helping lead Cantù to the playoffs
  • Competing for Sixth Man of the Year
  • Achieving a "50-40-90 season" (50% FG, 40% 3PT, 90% FT)

Embracing the Journey in Italy

Beyond basketball, Jordan has quickly built a strong brotherhood with his teammates- amazing chemistry both on and off the court. He loves the organization and staff, and he's enjoying life in Cantù alongside his family. He's loving all things from the culture to the surroundings and especially the food.

"It already feels like home," Jordan shared. "I'm so excited for this season to get started."

The official season tips off October 5th, and Jordan is ready to carry the momentum into what promises to be an exciting year for Pallacanestro Cantù.
